Post-Doctoral Fellow (Statistics & Medical Informatics)

The NorthTide Group is seeking a Post- Doctoral Fellow to provide support services on a government contract with the National Intrepid Center Of Excellence (NICoE).  The Post -Doctoral Fellow will provide the focus for development of advanced new image analysis techniques for the project. Focus areas include multi-modal image analysis, machine learning approaches, and DTI/DSI analysis.

LOCATION: Bethesda, MD

HOURS: M-F 8 hours/day, not to exceed 5 days/40 hours per week, excluding Federal Holidays

 Requirements 

• Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Medical Physics, Biophysics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar, with a publication record related to neuroimaging and/or machine learning.
• Specialize in Statistics and Medical Informatics
• Be able to assess and explore different analytic techniques that can be used to filter, normalize, and cluster multimodal features from different data sources into a common and homogeneous space.
• Experience in machine learning and “Big Data” computational techniques is desired.
• Assist in the evaluation of existing software packages and methods for carrying out analysis in support of project goals.
• Must have excellent technical writing and communication skills along with the ability to assist and support others working in a collaborative environment.
• Must be highly motivated with attention to detail.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
