Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

The NorthTide Group is seeking License Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide services as required and in strict compliance with standing orders and protocols set forth by the hospital.

Specific Duties/Tasks But Not Limited To:

• Obtain Vital Signs, procedure height and weight, wound irrigation, suture removal, obtain, specimens for laboratory testing, perform EKG.ECG, and perform quality checks and assist with calling patients
• Assist provider with treatment and diagnostics procedures.
• Demonstrate competence in starting/performing IV access and phlebotomy.
• Obtain health data in relation to patient’s psychological and physiologic needs.
• Recognize signs and symptoms of emergency situations.
• Document care given and patient’s response in the electronic medical record.

LOCATION: Government Hospital located in Alexandria, VA

HOURS: M-F 6:00am-9:00pm, Sat 6:00am-4:00pm. Shifts may vary 8, 10, 12 hour to include days and evenings, excluding Federal Holidays.

 Requirements 

• Valid, unrestricted license in at least one state or territory (Puerto Rico, Guam, or the US Virgin Islands) in the United States.
• The LPN must have a minimum of one (1) nursing experience within the last three years in a hospital setting.
• Must have an understanding of basic computer use. The facility uses electronic medical records.
• Must have a current BCLS certified through the AMA/American Red Cross
