The NorthTide Group is seeking a Global Command & Control System (GCCS) System Administrator to support a Department of Defense customer.  The customer requires communication & IT services to support its CCE (C2 systems, information management systems, mail/message systems, and security systems). This support includes systems, networks, and telecommunication engineering & administration, information assurance, computer network defense, and web portal & application development as well as supporting electronic key management, project management, portfolio & configuration management, enterprise architecture, and knowledge & information management. Customer mission areas include: Information System Management Services (ISMS), Information Technology Services (ITS), Information System Administration Services (ISAS), Knowledge, Information and Application Services (KIAS), Cybersecurity and Information Assurance Services (CIAS), and Information System Support Services (ISSS).

 Specific Duties / Tasks (include, but not limited to):

  • Maintain, install, update, to include patching, and secure operating systems and applications for all current and additional assigned systems and applications within USPACOM. The following is a non-inclusive list (Windows Active Directory, Windows Server (Windows 2008 R2 or later), Windows Domain Name System (DNS), Windows Workstations (Windows 10 or later), Global Command & Control System – Joint (GCCS-J) , GCCS-J COP, Agile Client, JOPES).
  • Maintain the security posture and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance, in accordance with DoD requirements, of all assigned systems and applications. Analyze processes, assigned systems and applications and make recommendations for improvements and automation.
  • Ensure all GCCS-J systems and applications are compliant with DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) requirements.
  • Create and maintain custom scripts.
  • Ensure that all GCCS-J systems are included in the Host Base Security System (HBSS) architecture and that all required HBSS components are installed and configured correctly.
  • Responsible for backup/restore GCCS-J systems and applications in accordance with DoD polices.
  • Responsible for testing and executing the GCCS-J Continuity of Operations (COOP), to include, documenting and reporting the results accordingly.
  • Responsible for creating, maintaining, testing, and updating GCCS-J Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and documentation.
  • Refer to current DoD directives, policies and the GCCS Program Office to maintain and update deployment files and virtual images for secure installations of mission critical GCCS-J Systems.

 Requirements:

  • IAW DoD 8570.01-M, must meet IAT I minimum qualifications.
  • Three years of experience building, managing and supporting Global Command & Control System-Joint (GGCSJ) hardware, operating systems and applications in a DoD environment.
  • Experience managing and securing Windows Servers and Windows Workstations within a DoD environment.
  • Experience managing and supporting JOPES.
  • Experience securing systems and applications in accordance with Federal, DoD regulations, directives, policies and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
  • Experience managing Windows Server and Workstation operating systems in a Virtual Machine Operating Environment (VOE) like VMware.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting, Active Directory Service Management, Group Policy and automation is required.
  • Experience patching GCCS and Windows servers and workstations via automated tools.
  • Must possess an Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
